NOTE: Review of Branch, not of Bank. I've lived in the area and been in and out of the bank many times. Although there are queues in the morning, it's to be expected. The staff is always as quick as they can, and they sometimes deal with people that barely speak any English. The ATMs outside and inside are very rarely out of service. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. I have once been in need of a consultation and was offered a session within the next hour, on a Saturday. With regard to my account, I work with a wonderful lady who has always been more than happy to answer all my questions and guide me through whatever I wanted done. When I opened my account, I used my Driver's License and Passport. They accept the initial NINo confirmation letter as proof of address as well, in case any newcomers are reading this. Highly recommend.
This bank is located conveniently near my house, which is why I signed up with them. My main problem with the bank though is that the staff are miserable, and every time you ask them for help it's almost as though they sigh at the burden of your presence. With that said, they do seem fairly trustworthy, and the bank is somewhat reputable. Therefore, I don't feel unsafe depositing my money here. I just wish they would learn to love life again, because it's incredibly depressing inside this shop. I know that Harlesden isn't the brightest part of London - but it's not as bad as the staff make it feel.

Small Nationwide branch opposite to Hampstead underground station providing friendly professional service at both the teller and advisory services. Branch has a fully functional ATM machine at street level. Recently the face to face appointments have been replaced with appointments via video with the financial and mortgage representatives. While it removes the personal interaction with staff members it is effective.
Decent, competent, not over-or-under trained, welcoming and helpful staff.
