Nice cinema. Comfortable seat. They have vue extreme which has large screen and big capacity. Not so many people in here. Maybe because the ticket system is using e ticket. So there are no queue for getting the ticket although you have to print the ticket at the ticket machine in front of the cinema
Overpriced nasty food & snacks. Expensive tickets. Comfy seats.
194B Chamberlayne Rd, Kensal Green, London NW10 3JU, UK – 020 3011 5523
A small but worthy cinema. Mostly run by volunteers, 100% of the profits go to a sustainablility charity in South Africa. Tickets are cheaper than the average multiplex but knowing that your money goes towards building better lives is a enough of a reason to come back weekly. The staff are great and they have a great bar too.
Love this little cinema. Atmosphere inside is great and there's a bar so you can have a couple of drinks (or a bottle of wine!) while watching a film. I much prefer this cinema to large, impersonal chains. The staff are lovely and the tickets are very reasonably priced.

Very helpful staff welcoming you with smile in their face! The rooms and generaly the place makes you feel like you are at your own home! Food is nice as well
The cinema has lounge chairs and sofas. You can be served drinks and snacks. Personally I don’t want to be distracted by eating or hearing others doing it while watching a film. I want to be absorbed by the film. You also pay about £5 more for these unwanted comforts.
269 Kilburn High Rd, London NW6 7JR, UK – 020 7328 1000
The old Tricycle theatre has had a refurbishment and rebranding and is now known as Kiln. What they haven't done - and really this is daft beyond belief - is made it easy to find the place. As far as I could see, there was no sign on the main road at all. And, while its official address might be on the High Road, the actual building and entrance are not. I walked right past the side road twice. I do admire their efforts to bring reasonably priced, interesting plays and films to Kilburn, an area that has been described as 'up-and-coming' for at least three decades as far as I know... so I'm being generous with the four stars. But when I went to see a film recently, I had to queue for ages to buy a ticket as there was only one person at the box office and everything happened very s-l-o-w-l-y. Come on, chaps, get some signs out there.
It feels so good to go to this small venue: cinema, theatre, workshops, cafè. Great movies and relaxing community atmosphere.
The Horseshoe, 28 Heath St, London NW3 6TE, UK – 020 7435 3648
A wonderful and charming theatre in the heart of Hampstead. Plays and workshops are held during the week. But on Sunday nights there's an excellent evening called The Moon At Night, with an eclectic mix of artists, poets, musicians and story tellers.
This is a long-running theatre above a pub in Hampstead. There are some steep stairs to access the theatre so no good for wheelchair users or those who struggle to climb stairs. The theatre space itself is quirky and a little dark as you clamber over pieces of set and the odd step to access your seat. However, Leonie will make you feel very welcome, you will be among other theatre enthusiasts and the quality of the production I saw was excellent. It's a bargain way to get your theatre fix.

Wonderful treat on our doorstep. I can honestly say that I've only been to one mediocre play here as all the rest have been really entertaining. There is such variety of subject matter and high quality productions with great actors and actresses. The bar is delightful. I have had my mind opened to so many new areas of history and philosophy V close to Swiss Cottage. 100% recommended.
Great smaller theatre staging creative, thought-provoking, entertaining plays. The Main Stage is both very comfortable and has excellent views from all areas. Before the show, the foyer seating area looks very busy with nowhere to perch, but there's lots of extra seating downstairs. The cafe / bar offers drinks and light food, a very decent house red wine and 10% off post-show drinks with your ticket. And it's very close to Swiss Cottage tube station. What's not to like!
