feels like a new and shiny cinema. comfortable seats, amphitheater seating, big and well visible screens. tickets are pricey unless you use Y plan vouchers :) expensive snacks, but with local cafes and big sainsbury's downstairs one can manage easily.

Absolutely exquisite. Comfortable seating with plenty of leg room for tall people like myself. The same couldn't be said for Camden where I am always uncomfortable due to lack of leg room.
small screen, poor visibility due to the seats being at an equal height. have been there once and will not get back. on the bright side - it was not crowded...

Food service at your seat Comfortable seating with sofa style seats. Recently changed colour scheme to orange from black!? Expensive
The comfy option to visit the flicks. A tad expensive but I think worthwhile given the comfort, space & service.

This is a long-running theatre above a pub in Hampstead. There are some steep stairs to access the theatre so no good for wheelchair users or those who struggle to climb stairs. The theatre space itself is quirky and a little dark as you clamber over pieces of set and the odd step to access your seat. However, Leonie will make you feel very welcome, you will be among other theatre enthusiasts and the quality of the production I saw was excellent. It's a bargain way to get your theatre fix.
Warm and welcoming somewhat eccentric environment with excellent performance. Seating area resembled somebody's grandparents living room.

Quirky, unique and a cosy cinema. A real gem near Kensal rise/Willesden. It is spectacularly priced in comparison to major chains - both ticket and snack-wise. The staff (most of which volunteers I read) are friendly and helpful. A service rare to see occur whilst going to a larger chain of cinema. The screen is big and of fantastic quality, comfy seats with lots of leg room and the sound is perfect. The cinema has a homely yet romantic vibe to it. Perfect for a late night with friends or loved ones. Going to see a film and snacking away, all whilst knowing that profits go to charitable causes is a beautiful thing. If you are yet to experience a independent cinema in London, I would urge you to give The Lexi a go.
Magnificent local, independent cinema which gives its profits to a South African charity, serves local, bottle-conditioned ales and shows a well-chosen and interesting programme of films. We're so lucky to have the Lexi!
